MICHAEL
Arcadia Host
Michael opened Villa Arcadia Bed and Breakfast in 2018 to provide a luxurious guest-forward option in San Juan del Sur. Later, he looked for a quality environment to continue own Spanish learning, but found none. Therefore, in 2023 he then decided to add Arcadia Learning as a part of Villa Arcadia Bed and Breakfast.
Michael hails from Seattle, holds two advanced degrees in international studies and speaks English, Spanish and Japanese. When not hosting, he is a real estate broker, and he enjoys exploring the hidden corners of Nicaragua.
HALYING
Activities Coordinator
Halying, originally from Rivas, Nicaragua, has been a co-host at Villa Arcadia for years. Prior to Arcadia, he was an Activities Coordinator at several hotels in San Juan del Sur. He is well connected and full of local resources.
Halying believes in the vision of Arcadia and he is the liaison for all things Nicaragua. With an advanced degree in Business Administration, he is well fit to provide professional and friendly services to Arcadia's guests. In his free time, he enjoys salsa dancing and sharing his country with foreign and national visitors alike.
MARI
Course Instructor
Since joining our team, Mari has brought a fresh perspective and teaching approach that has inspired innovation throughout Arcadia Luxury Learning. She is a Certified Linguist and has over 10 years of Spanish language teaching experience.
Mari's strengths are her approachable personality, sense of humor, unwavering commitment to her students, and her focus on academic improvement.
KEYNER
Course Instructor
A highly regarded instructor at a private Spanish school with over 2000 hours of private teaching, his students have ranged from childhood beginners to advanced medical professionals. His teaching strengths are patience, clarity, a deep knowledge of Spanish grammar and the ability to explain it in an understandable manner.
When not teaching, Keyner is pursuing an advanced degree in psychology. He knows how the language mind works!
